Alberta “Birdi” Blocker, 83, of Haltom City, passed away peacefully on May 8, 2026.
Born on November 29, 1942, in Houston, Texas, Birdi lived a life centered on faith, family, service, and hard work. She was known for her strength, sense of humor, loyalty, caring heart, and the kindness she extended to everyone fortunate enough to know her.
Birdi shared nearly 65 loving years of marriage with her husband, Gary Blocker, building a life filled with devotion, strength, and treasured memories. She is survived by her beloved husband, Gary Blocker; her sons, Cary Blocker and wife Candy Blocker, and Brad Blocker and wife Michelle Blocker.
A dedicated businesswoman, Birdi founded Alberta Blocker Insurance Agency and spent 43 years serving her community through her work in the insurance industry until her retirement. She took great pride in helping others and built lasting relationships with many of the people she served over the years.
Birdi was deeply involved in her community. She proudly served with the Haltom City Garden Club and the Haltom City Beautification Board, and she was a life member of the Northeast Chamber of Commerce, helping make her community a more beautiful place for others to enjoy. Her faith was an important part of her life, and she was a devoted member of First Baptist Church of Fort Worth.
She found great joy in traveling, camping, and cruising, always looking forward to new adventures and time spent with loved ones. One of Birdi’s greatest pleasures was playing and singing music with family and friends, creating cherished memories filled with laughter, music, and togetherness.
She will be remembered for the love she gave so freely, the guidance she offered her family, and the lasting impact she made on all whose lives she touched. Her memory will continue to live on in the hearts of those who loved her.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, May 14, 2026, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Roberts Martinez Funeral Home in Haltom City, Texas.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, May 15, 2026, at 12:00 p.m. at First Baptist Church of Fort Worth, followed by a graveside service at 2:30 p.m. at Bluebonnet Hills Memorial Park in Colleyville, Texas.
Birdi will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by her family, friends, and all who knew her.
