Billy Ray Jones, age 83, passed from his earthly home on September 06,2026 in Fort Worth, Texas surrounded by family.

Billy was born March 24, 1943 to Bidisha Ann “Decie” Jones in Seymour, Texas. Billy attended Seymour Hugh School. Billy married the love of his life, Helen Delaine Suttles on November 26, 1959 at the First Baptist Church of Seymour, Texas. The marriage lasted 64 years until Helen passed on January 14 2023 and she was the first one in heaven to welcome him home with open arms.

Billy was always a hard worker, providing for his family. He was employed with Safeway and Minyards as a market manager until he retired. He enjoyed playing golf, gambling, and traveling.

Billy was preceded in death by his beautiful and loving wife, Helen, his youngest son, Chris Allen Jones, grandson, Ricky Lynn Jones, all of Haltom City, Texas. His mother, Bidisha Ann “Decie” Jones of Seymor, Texas, sister-in-law Jo Rene Stroud, of Haltom City, Texas, in laws Byron O. Suttles, Ronnie and Dorthy Waltz, numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.

He is survived by two sons: Billy Ray Jones Jr. of Haltom City, Texas, and Garry Wayne Jones and wife Sherry of Duncan, Oklahoma, one sister Barbara McNeese of Fort Worth, Texas, brother and sister-in-law, Edward and Emmela Baldwin of Haltom City Texas, his nieces and nephews, Misti and Brian Makenna and Landon Cross, Shawn McNeese, and Jason Maggard, grandchildren Michael Jones, Kerry Jones, Cinnamon and husband Thomas Patterson, Jaryn and Heather Jones, Haily and Craig Smith. Great Grandchildren, Cecily and Salem Patterson, Star and baby boy Jones, Alyssa and Tommy Dance. Great-great-grandchildren, Miles and Ace Dance.

The pallbearers that will be assisting with the graveside service will be: Michael Jones, Kerry Jones, Jaryn Jones, Thomas Patterson, Brian Cross, Craig Smith, and Tommy Dance

A visitation will be held at Roberts-Martinez Funeral Home at 4200 Denton Hwy. Haltom City, TX 76117 on Tuesday, September 15th from 10AM to 11AM. Afterward, everyone will meet at Laurel Land - Rosehill Cemetery at 7301 E Lancaster Ave, Fort Worth, TX 76112 for burial at noon.
