Brigitte Jeanne Herrmann
December 7, 1946 - October 27, 2026

Brigitte Jeanne Herrmann (Scherrer) passed away on Tuesday October, 27th at the age of 79.

She was born in Alsace, France. Brigitte came to the United States when she was 19 and came to reside in Texas by way of New York, Colorado, and Minnesota.

Most of those who knew her recently remember her as a kind, quiet, and thoughtful woman who didn't enjoy large crowds (such as family Thanksgiving or Christmas) but would still connect with family members and friends for a quiet one on one.

Prior to the stroke she suffered nearly 20 years ago Brigitte loved to swim, snow ski, loved music, and she was the "Dancing Queen" dancing to anything and everything including the ABBA song of same title.

Pre-stroke, Brigitte spent her life in service of others literally as a server in the restaurant business and/or managing front of house or operations for food related businesses such as LeNotre French Bakery in Houston.

In Beaver Creek, Colorado and Ely, Minnesota she even helped manage front of house for her late husband's (Chef Bernard Herrmann) restaurants; La Mirabelle and The Mantle House, respectively.

Brigitte is survived by her son Michael, her daughter in law Jennifer Roach Herrmann, her two grandsons; Andrew and Noah, along with her great grandson Archer.

She is preceded in death by her mother Louise Scherrer (Walliang), her father Xavier Charles Scherrer, her sister Chantal Josephine Link (Scherrer), and her husband Bernard Francois Herrmann.
