In Loving Memory of Jacqueline Marylee Harrison

December 18, 1950 – September 28, 2026

Jacqueline Marylee Harrison, affectionately known as Ms. Jackie, was a remarkable woman whose life was filled with strength, love, laughter, and an unwavering devotion to her family. Born on December 18, 1950, in Chicago, Illinois, she departed this earthly life on September 28, 2026, in Fort Worth, Texas. Though her physical presence will be deeply missed, the love she poured into her family and the legacy she leaves behind will live on for generations to come.

Ms. Jackie was a woman of strength and resilience, with a personality that could fill a room. She was strong, lovable, feisty, caring, and full of life. She had a heart for giving and a spirit that always found a way to show love to those around her. Whether through a kind gesture, a helping hand, a warm embrace, or a home-cooked meal, Ms. Jackie had a special way of making people feel cared for. She was the kind of woman who gave from the heart, loved with everything she had, and stood strong through life's many challenges. Her strength was not simply something she possessed; it was a legacy she passed down to everyone blessed enough to know her.

Family was the center of Ms. Jackie's world. She was a devoted mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, great-great-grandmother, sister, and friend. Her love for her family was evident in the way she cared for them, brought them together, and made sure they knew they were loved. She understood that family was one of God's greatest blessings, and she treasured the memories, traditions, and moments that connected them. Her home and her kitchen were places where love was shared, stories were told, and bonds were strengthened.

Anyone who knew Ms. Jackie knew that she could put her love on a plate. She was a wonderful cook who took pride in preparing meals that brought family and friends together. Her greens, dressing, peach cobbler, and ham were among her favorites to make, along with the many other delicious dishes she lovingly prepared. Her cooking was more than a talent; it was one of the ways she expressed her affection. Every meal carried a little piece of her heart, and those familiar flavors will forever bring back memories of her warmth, her laughter, and the love that filled her kitchen.

Ms. Jackie also knew how to enjoy life. She loved watching Law & Order and the Lifetime Movie Network, settling in to enjoy a good story. She appreciated making herself a cocktail, listening to R. Kelly, and, of course, getting up to dance. She had a lively spirit and knew how to create moments of joy in the midst of everyday life. Her feisty personality, infectious presence, and love for the things that made her happy were all part of what made her so special. These little pieces of her everyday life will become treasured memories for those who loved her most.

Above all, Ms. Jackie was a giver. She gave her time, her love, her strength, and whatever she could to help those around her. She demonstrated that love is not measured only by what we say, but by what we do for one another. Through her sacrifices, her care, her determination, and her devotion to her family, she showed what it meant to persevere and to keep loving even when life was not easy. She leaves behind a legacy of strength, a legacy that will continue to guide, encourage, and inspire her family for years to come.

Jacqueline was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Arthur Charles Harrison Jr., and her parents, Jessie and Vernetta Kye. Though they have gone before her, the love and memories they shared remain a cherished part of her story.

She leaves to cherish her precious memory her children: Cynthia Harrison, age 60; Cherise Cameron-Harrison, age 59; Arthur Harrison III, age 58; Marcus Harrison, age 54; and Casandra Harrison, age 52. She is also lovingly remembered by her sisters, Patricia Gibson and Pamela Flowers, and her special friend, Thurston MacCaskill.

Her beautiful family also includes 31 grandchildren, 87 great-grandchildren, and 13 great-great-grandchildren, each representing another branch of the loving family tree she helped nurture. Her influence reaches far beyond the years she lived, extending into the lives of the many generations who will continue to carry her name, her values, and her love forward.

Although saying goodbye to someone so deeply loved is never easy, her family finds comfort in knowing that God blessed them with the gift of Jacqueline Marylee Harrison. They are grateful for every moment, every lesson, every laugh, every meal, every dance, and every expression of love she shared with them. They thank God for allowing her to be a part of their lives and for the countless ways she enriched their family.

Today, the tears of loss are accompanied by gratitude for a life so beautifully lived. Her voice may grow quiet in the memories of those who knew her, but her laughter will still be heard in family gatherings. Her recipes will be remembered in kitchens. Her strength will be reflected in her children and generations to come. Her love will remain present in every heart she touched.

Ms. Jackie may have taken her final bow on this earthly stage, but her spirit, her love, and her legacy will never leave the hearts of her family.

Rest peacefully, Ms. Jackie. You were loved beyond measure, treasured beyond words, and will be missed more than words can ever express. Your work here is done, but the seeds of love and strength you planted will continue to grow for generations.

Your life was a blessing, your memory a treasure, and your love a legacy that will live forever.

Forever loved. Forever remembered. Forever our Ms. Jackie.
