James Corbet Jackson, 75, of Bedford, Texas, passed away on September 26, 2026. Born in Fort Worth, Texas, Jim spent his life devoted to two great loves: the movies and music.

For decades, Jim worked as a projectionist at movie theaters across the Dallas-Fort Worth area, spending his career quite literally shining light onto the screen for others to enjoy. It was a fitting path for a man who loved movies for his entire life - from childhood matinees to a lifelong career behind the projector booth.

Music was Jim's other great passion. A talented musician, he played both bass guitar and piano, and found joy throughout his life in making music.

Jim was married once with no children. He was one of three children born to the Jackson family. He was preceded in death by his brother, Mike Jackson, who passed away in May 2026. He is survived by his sister, Frances B. Manning.

Jim will be remembered for his devotion to the things he loved - the magic of cinema and the joy of music - and for the light, in every sense, that he brought to those around him.
