In Loving Memory of Melisa Renae McBride

1988 - 2026

Melisa Renae McBride, age 37, was called home suddenly and unexpectedly on June 8, 2026, in Haltom City, Texas.

Born on October 28, 1988, in Dallas, Texas, Melisa was the beloved daughter of Susan Monte Mayor and Daniel McBride. Throughout her life, she was a devoted mother, daughter, sister, and friend who consistently put the needs of others before her own.

Melisa was known for her vibrant personality, kind heart, and unforgettable laugh that could be heard from across a room and instantly bring a smile to those around her. She never met a stranger couldn’t talk to loved talking with people from all walks of life. Her warmth, compassion, and genuine interest in others made everyone feel welcome and valued.

Above all, Melisa cherished her children. She loved spending time at home with them and taking them on adventures, big or small, doing whatever brought them joy. Some of her happiest moments were spent sitting outside watching the rain or challenging her children to friendly competitions on games played on their phones.

Melisa had a special gift for brightening even the darkest days. Her presence alone could light up a room, and her smile had a way of making everything feel a little better. She was the friend everyone could count on, the person who offered support without judgment, and someone who made others feel loved simply by being herself.

She is survived by her children, Kedon Braden, Leah Nelson, Cobie Nelson, Jacob Nelson, and Brayden Nelson; her father, Daniel McBride; and older sister Katrina Braden, Ester Anderson, Andrew McBride and many family members and friends who will forever cherish her memory.

Melisa was preceded in death by her beloved mother, Susan Monte Mayor.

A visitation and celebration of life will be held on June 24, 2026, from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at 4200 Denton Highway, Haltom City, Texas 76117.

Melisa will be remembered for her beautiful smile, infectious laugh, unwavering strength, and the love she poured into her family and friends. Her greatest accomplishment was being a mother, and she leaves behind five beautiful children who will carry her love and legacy forward.

Her life was a testament to perseverance, compassion, and unconditional love. She taught those around her to never give up when times become difficult and to always be there for the people who need you most.

Though her time with us was far too short, Melisa’s memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her. She will be deeply missed, forever loved, and never forgotten.
