In Loving Memory of Ruth Nunez Stewart

1985 - 2024

Ruth was born on July 5, 1985 in Fort Worth to Jose and Adelina Nunez and went home to be with the Lord on October 6, 2024, at the age of 39.

She was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Mercedes Gomez and Juan Fuentes, and by her paternal grandmother, Maria Banuelos Nunez. Ruth was a very ambitious but stubborn daughter, sister, wife and mother. She had an addictive laugh and bright smile. Ruth followed in her dad's footsteps and worked in the construction industry for over a decade. She cherished her family deeply and was very involved in her kids' sports. She was a cheering coach for her daughter and boxing official for USA Boxing and Matchmaking for the tournaments for her boys for about 6 years. Ruth lived a short but fulfilling life and will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her. Her legacy lives on through her husband, George Stewart; five children, Adrian, Penelope, Nathan, Elija, and Gunner; four older sisters, Maria Rodriquez, Sandra Nunez, Lupita Nunez, and Martha Castillo and husband, Mark; numerous nieces and nephews; and a host of friends.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 16, 2024, at Grace Baptist Church beginning at 9:00 AM with a Celebration of Life to follow at 10:00 AM.
