Timothy Grant
Borchardt
August 18, 1963 – March 23, 2026
In Loving Memory of Timothy Grant Borchardt
1963 - 2026
Timothy Grant Borchardt, 62, of Fort Worth, Texas, passed away on March 23, 2026 at his home, after a courageous battle with cancer.
Tim was born in Fort Worth, the son of Lee Roy Borchardt and Jerry Ann (Robinson) Borchardt. He attended Boswell High School.
On Valentine’s Day, 2003, he married the love of his life and best friend Phyllis Diane Blackburn in Lake Worth. They enjoyed 23 years of laughter, travel, and house projects, along with the joys and challenges of raising children and delighting in grandchildren.
Tim enjoyed his work at City Center of Sundance Square, taking advantage of daily opportunities to give strangers a reason to smile. Tim’s friendliness and outgoing personality made him endearing and relatable to everyone he met.
Aside from time with his friends and family, Tim’s interests included woodworking, fishing, mimicking animal noises, and finding a good deal. He often drafted plans for furniture from scratch and tinkered with the materials until the product was just right. His sons have fond memories of fishing with their dad at Auggies or Tony’s Gas Station, releasing their catches or sharing them with others on the dock. Tim had an uncanny ability to make animal sounds. He regularly found great joy in catching his loved ones off guard by realistically barking like a dog or copying a songbird. Tim saw value in things others could not & took any opportunity to bring a retiring gadget back to life.
Preceding Tim in death are his parents, Lee Roy and Jerry Ann, as well as his son, Chris Borchardt.
Remaining to cherish Tim’s memory are his wife, Phyllis; his daughter-in-law Michelle Borchardt, son-in-law Melton, and their children Chelsea, Paisley, and Cannon; his son, Grant Borchardt, partner Tye, and their children Emma, Liam, and Jamison; his daughter Amy Borchardt, his daughter-in-law Brey, and their child Wilder; his son J.T. Papagno, daughter-in-law Morgan, and their children Avaleigh, Waverlee, Emberley, and Briar; his son Josh Papagno, daughter-in-law Tiffany, and their children Lily, Lexi, Ben, and Kyle; his son Travis Papagno; his son Cody Borchart and partner Regina; his brother Scott Borchardt; his brother Dudley Borchardt, sister-in-law Janie, and their children; his sister Jana Borchardt and her children; his sister Stephanie Yochum and her children; his brother-in-law Donnie Blackburn, sister-in-law Melynda, and their children; his sister-in-law Susan Fincher, brother-in-law Howard, and their children; his sister-in-law Janet Braselton, brother-in-law Michael, and their children; along with his best friend of 56 years, Clay Duffee and his wife Paula.
