Anthony Kenneth Auwardt
1952 - 2023
Anthony "Anto" Kenneth Auwardt, born on June 1, 1952, in Sri Lanka, passed away on May 5, 2023, in Bedford, Texas, at the age of 70. He is predeceased by his parents, Harold Auwardt and Brenda Burk-Auwardt, as well as his brother, Merril Auwardt.
Anthony was married to Elizabeth "Rozaine" Gibson-Auwardt in 1980, after they met in Sri Lanka in 1978. He was a Catholic, and as a young boy, he served as an altar boy. He had a passion for cooking Western cuisine and worked tirelessly as a chef to perfect his skills. Anthony's dedication and hard work earned him great respect in his profession.
Anthony was known for his sense of humor and was always quick to make others laugh. His jokes and witty remarks brought joy to those around him. He had a love for old Western movies, which he enjoyed watching in his free time.
Anthony is survived by his loving wife, Elizabeth "Rozaine" Auwardt, who was his devoted partner for 43 years. He is also survived by his two daughters, Avril and Olivia, and their husbands Viren Pushpanayagam and Nishantha Wijayasinghe, respectively. Anthony was very proud of his grandchildren, Ocean Pushpanayagam and Elinsa Wijayasinghe, who will miss him dearly.
Anthony was one of five siblings and is survived by his five sisters, Patricia (Patta), Pamela, Elizabeth (Ela), Monica (Mona) and Augusta (Cindy) who will remember him fondly. He also leaves behind numerous nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends, who were all touched by his kindness and humor.
The visitation for Anthony will take place on Saturday, May 13, 2023, at 1 pm at Roberts and Martinez Funeral Home in Haltom City, Texas, followed by a funeral service at 2 pm.

Anthony's kindness, sense of humor, and passion for cooking will never be forgotten. May he rest in peace, reunited with his parents and brother in eternal life.
