Brenda Cienega Obituary

Brenda Cienega, 54, passed away October 26, 2023 after undergoing a courageous battle with stage 4 lung cancer. She fought the good fight but unfortunately the cancer won. She always had a smile and an ear for anyone that needed it. Brend never met a stranger and treated everyone like they were family! She was one of the sweetest, funniest, most caring people you could have ever met. Her favorite color was purple; her favorite animal was a unicorn. Brenda had a welcoming heart and greeted everyone with a hug and a smile. She had a heart full of forgiveness and was rich in soul and spirit.

Brenda was preceded in death by her husband of 28 years, Daniel Cienega, and son, Travis Lynn Ortega.

She will be deeply and lovingly missed by her wonderful children, Julie Ortega, Heather Ortega, and Nicholas Silletti; stepchildren, Vikky Shekha and Lisa Cienega; her six amazing grandchildren and four great-grandchildren that knew her as Nanna; mother, Catherine "Granny" Lopez; brothers, Daniel Walker and Samule Walker; and a host of extended family and friends.

Brenda loved her husband, Daniel Cienega, until the day he died and every day since, and now they will be at rest together into eternity at DFW National (Veteran's) Cemetery.
