1927 - 2023

Born on June 26, 1927, in Utica, Mississippi, Harmon Lamar Moody was the beloved eldest child of Robert and Lenie Irene Moody, and the proud older brother of 11 siblings. He lived a life filled with love, devotion, and cherished moments until he peacefully departed on October 6, 2023, surrounded by the warmth of his family.

Harmon married the love of his life, Wyonell Fletcher Moody, and their enduring love story spanned an impressive 55 years. Together, they built a family rooted in love and faith.

Harmon found solace and contentment in life's simple pleasures. He enjoyed sitting outside, taking leisurely walks, and basking in the beauty of nature. His deep faith brought him comfort and joy, and he was a devoted member of his local church.
One of Harmon's most treasured routines was attending roll call every month, a tradition that kept him connected to friends and comrades from his Navy days, forming bonds that lasted a lifetime.
